Overnight in a tent
In Finland, nights are dark enough for Northern Lights viewing from late August to April. Seeing them requires clear skies and just a bit of luck.
-
Camp - feel warm
Located on the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi, Lapland these 37 TreeHouses have a warm, wooden interior which highlights the Scandinavian design.
-
Cross-country skiing
Traditional cross-country skiing in the forest is an experience to remember. Trees covered in snow, beautiful sky fulfilled with stars.
We’ve created a camping experience that’s turn-key and hassle free.

Experience
Book yourself an aurora hunt ride or make the most of your visit: the best way to experience the Northern lights is to make a visit to our Aurora Camp.
Go somewhere
Explore
You can experience the beauty of the nature by walking around the area. And the best way to do it, is to utilize the snowshoes, which makes it easier to walk on the icy lake or forests covered in snow.
Go somewhereWhat our happy campers are saying
-
We were picked up promptly at our hotel and transported to the lodge. Upon arrival we were welcomed warmly and given instructions on seeing the lights.
-
We loved our stay at the Aurora Borealis Lodge. I can't imagine staying someplace and having to drive out of town to miserably shiver in our car and wait for the lights.
-
Cleary Summit and the lodge are great view spots, due to elevation, and we had the lights appear multiple times during our 4-hour visit.

The glass igloos by Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus were opened in December 2016 at the Santa Claus Village on the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi. The new glass-roofed, arctic view rooms offer an opportunity to experience Lapland’s ever-changing nature while enjoying the comforts of a hotel room. It is possible to enjoy Northern Lights, midnight sun, autumn colors and polar night. Santa’s Hotel Aurora’s glass igloos are located near the Pyhä-Luosto National Park and offer a great possibility to observe the unique landscape of Luosto presenting itself outside the windows every day in a new way.
